Lilith appears as a night demon in Jewish lore and as a screech owl in the King James version of the Bible. In later folklore, "Lilith" is the name for Adam's first wife . She decided that being Adams wife was simply not what she waned , and she gave herself to the Dark side .
It is believed that she is mother of all Sucubi and Incubi , and that She leads women into becoming slaves of lust . She also on occasion tempts and torments males she consides worthy , or by the order of the Fiend himself .
She is also believed by some authors to one of the 12 or 14 rulers / kings of Hell.
Widely spread belif says that she enjoys killing , diseasing or tormenting newborns . I shall instruct readers at the end of this article how to prevent that.
Night emissions at males are often attributed to Lilit or Asmodei , but they differ from "normal" night emissions , in a sense that they always happen during the dreaming phase from which the dreamer is awaken suddenly , often in great fear or even paralysis and with strangely small amounts of semen ( it is also believed that Lilith and her children collect virgin or at least pure man semen to fertilize and give birth to many other incubi or sucubi ).
She is verz keen on tormenting pure ( virgin ) males or females and sending her children after them .Carl Gustav Jung on LILITH
Psychologically, the symbolism of Lilith belongs to the Mother Archetype, especially in its manifestations of the Terrible Mother. Let me make a few short quotes from Jung in "Psychological aspects of the Mother Archetype":
<<Evil symbols are the witch, the dragon (or any devouring and entwining animal, such as a large fish or a serpent), the grave, the sarcophagus, deep water, death, nightmares and bogies (Empusa, Lilith, etc.)...>>
<<On the negative side the mother archetype may connote anything secret, hidden, dark; the abyss, the world of the dead, anything that devours, seduces, and poisons, that is terrifying and inescapable like fate.>>
<<The effects of the mother complex on the son may be seen in the ideology of the Cybele and Attis type: self-castration, madness, and early death.>>
The following quote by another Jungian (Eric Neumann, in "The Origins and History of Consciousness") can almost be read as some modern astrological descriptions of Lilith:
<<Thus the Great Mother is uroboric: terrible and devouring, beneficent and creative; a helper, but also alluring and destructive; a maddening enchantress, yet a bringer of wisdom; bestial and divine, voluptuous harlot and inviolable virgin, immemorially old and eternally young...>>
Jung divided the "mother complex" as it manifests in women in 4 different types (which I always related to the 4 "big four" traditional asteroids). Lilith incarnates several aspects of what Jung calls "the overdeveloped eros", which can manifest like, for example, a tendency toward "the unscrupulous wrecking of marriages". It often is the reaction against the purely instinctive and all-devouring "thrall of nature" mother:
<<The reactive intensification of the daughter's eros is aimed at some man who ought to be rescued from the preponderance of the female-maternal element in his life...>> (id.)
Here is how did the Paintor John Collier saw Lilith INCUBI AND SUCUBI A very nice description of them , found on Wikipedia
An incubus (plural incubi) is a demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them, according to a number of mythological and legendary traditions. Its female counterpart is the succubus. An incubus may pursue sexual relations with a woman in order to father a child, as in the legend of Merlin. Some sources indicate that it may be identified by its unnaturally cold penis. Religious tradition holds that repeated intercourse with an incubus or succubus may result in the deterioration of health, or even death.
Medieval legend claims that demons, both male and female, sexually prey on human beings. They generally prey upon the victim when they are sleeping, though it has been reported that females have been attacked while fully lucid.
The incubus is sometimes confused with the legendary "Old Hag" syndrome. The Old Hag episode, however, is usually restricted to an unpleasant feeling of great pressure on the chest and not a ghostly sexual encounter.
Also They are capable of possessing the body of the victim in the time of need . Incubi and sucubi are often considered heterosexual , even though some authors claim they can be bisexual or even change gender ! If a children is conceived between them and Humans this child is saidth to grow into amazing Wizard or Enchantress. The half-human offspring of such a union is sometimes referred to as a cambion. The most famous legend of such a case includes that of Merlin, the famous wizard from Arthurian legend.Protection and repelling
Incubi and Sucubi can not enter where they are not invited , nor force to intercourse unwiling person strong enough refuse them ( since they usually take appearance of our ideal sexual partner , or rather how we picture him/her ).
They are repelled by Quabbalah amulet containing the Holy Angelic names Sanvi , Sansanvi Semnageolf.
To protect a children ( from Lilith ), even today, some parents will charcoal a magic circle
with the words "Adam and Eve barring Lilith" on the wall near their baby,
and write the names of the angels on the door.
Sometimes amulets with such inscriptions were placed in all corners and throughout the bedchamber. If a child laughed in its sleep, it was a sign that Lilith was present. Tapping the child on the nose made the demon go away.
NOTE THAT IT IS EQUALLY USED THE NAME SEMANGELOF ASWELL AS SEMANGELAF FOR THE THIRD ANGEL ; SO I SUGGEST INSCRIPTIONS TO BE IN HERBEW!!!
NOW I SEEM NOT TO BE ABLE TO FIND A PICTURE OF AMULET ; OR NAMES IN HERBEWIF YOU CAN POST THEM AS RESPONSE TO THIS POST PLEASE !
